Collectively, the producers and key creative team behind Fortunate Sons have a crazy amount of experience producing, writing, and directing award-winning, Hollywood feature films, television movies, and series. (Peter Jones alone, our director, has won two Primetime Emmy Awards - nominated five times - and a prestigious Peabody Award.)

Peter Jones
Peter Jones has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award five times, winning twice: for his A&E Biography special Judy Garland: Beyond the Rainbow, and for Stardust: The Bette Davis Story. His Peabody Award-winning Inventing LA: The Chandlers and Their Times premiered as a national primetime special on PBS, and Johnny Carson: King of Late Night remains the highest-rated film in the nearly 40-year history of the PBS series “American Masters”. Angeleno earned a nomination for Independent Programming by the Los Angeles area Emmy Awards. Blue Sky Metropolis was recognized as Best TV Documentary by the Radio and Television News Association and won a Los Angeles area Emmy Award.
Jones has twice been the recipient of the Producer of the Year Award from The Producers Guild of America.

John Bard Manulis
John Bard Manulis' diverse career as a creative producer, executive, and entrepreneur spans the worlds of entertainment, live events, technology, and social/political activism - focused on encouraging a healthier, more just and productive world.
He has produced or executive produced over twenty film, television, and theater productions, including The Basketball Diaries, Swing Kids, and Tortilla Soup. As co-founder and CEO of Visionbox Media Group, he pioneered the use of digital technology for the production and distribution of motion pictures. And as Head of Filmed Entertainment for Samuel Goldwyn Films, he supervised the production or acquisition of films including The Madness Of King George, The Preacher’s Wife, Angels And Insects, I Shot Andy Warhol, Bent, The King Of Masks, and Big Night.
Producer
Taylor Vracin-Harrell
Taylor Vracin-Harrell is a producer and archivist. She has worked at Peter Jones Productions since 2018, first joining the team for Blue Sky Metropolis and most recently serving as Supervising Producer for PJP's ALL MAN: The International Male Story, which premiered at Tribeca. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, Long Beach, where she was the recipient of multiple scholarship awards. Her personal work centers social issues and civil rights issues. Her short film Faith Alone was shown in festivals around the country and aired on KCET's Fine Cut program.
Taylor was homeschooled, but as a native of Los Angeles with a love for the music and culture of the 1970s, she feels right at home with the class of '74.

Peter Haldeman
Peter Haldeman is a writer whose work has appeared in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times Magazine, Los Angeles magazine, Travel + Leisure, House & Garden, Architectural Digest, and many other publications. He is the author of the forthcoming memoir “Son of Nixonstein.” Ten members of his family as well as his life partner, Peter Jones, also attended Harvard School or its successor, Harvard-Westlake.

David Rosemont
David Rosemont has produced some of the most prestigious films and series for television, including the Primetime Emmy Award-winning Door to Door starring William Macy; and the epic 12-hour miniseries Into the West, executive produced by Steven Spielberg. He has won a Peabody Award, two Critics Choice Awards and The AFI Award of Excellence.
He recently completed production on the limited series Hot Zone: Anthrax for National Geographic and the series Alaska Daily, written and directed by Oscar-winner Tom McCarthy, starring Oscar-winner Hilary Swank.

Scott Shepherd
Scott Shepherd is a veteran writer/producer/show-runner with years of experience running network series; his production and screenwriting credits include The Equalizer, Miami Vice, The Outer Limits, Haven, and Quantum Leap.
Born in New York and raised in Los Angeles, he currently teaches television writing at the University of Texas in Austin.
He is a published author, whose works include the mystery novels The Last Commandment and Should I Fall.

Trey Scott
Trey Scott is Executive Producer and President of Three Flames Productions, a multi-media production company based in the US.
A former CBS-News Reporter and Producer, Trey writes, directs, and produces a wide range of content from documentaries, music videos, branding, and business profiles to online learning courses, sizzle content for social media, crowd funding campaigns, and global platform partnerships.
Trey is also the Founder of WatchPitch, a mobile App and platform that empowers and connects early stage start-up entrepreneurs with early stage investors. The WatchPitch Podcast completed its 5th season and its You Tube channel provides content to support entrepreneurs craft their stories for investment capital raising.
Current projects include development of a scripted series, documentary, and podcast series.

David Jakubovic
Throughout his editing career, David Jakubovic has cut feature films, TV shows, live concerts, commercials, and every possible other form of motion picture content - but documentaries have always been the most gratifying.
His documentary work includes hard-core journalism-based films, music documentaries, heartfelt human interest stories, science films and now, the fascinating, groundbreaking Fortunate Sons.
Recent credits include Amazon Freevee's Monumental: Ellie Goulding at Kew Gardens, Hulu's Where is Private Dulaney, Masterclass's series GOAT, and other work for Disney, HBO, Paramount+, History, A&E, and more.
Composer
Earl Rose
His film scores include the PBS American Masters presentation, Johnny Carson: King of Late Night, PBS’ Inventing L.A.:The Chandlers and Their Times, Alan Pakula: Going For Truth, and Always At The Carlyle. Beginning in 2002, Rose composed the scores for over a dozen History Channel documentaries and mini-series.
His original music has been featured in such series as this season’s True Detective and Reacher and past years’ Shameless, American Woman, The Goldbergs, The Brave, The Magicians, Pan Am, The West Wing, and countless others. He was the pianist for the TV special, A Colbert Christmas:The Greatest Gift of All accompanying Elvis Costello, John Stewart and Stephen Colbert.
